Controller and contact

The processing described is under the responsibility of Yvon Demol, sole proprietor (entrepreneur individuel, EI under French law) and publisher of JazzBricks, at 6 rue Pierre Brizon, 59175 Templemars, France. For any question about your data: contact@jazzbricks.com. Business registration details appear in the legal notice.

Your practice stays on each device

Language, instrument, saved settings, personal charts, their titles and authors, organization and Guide Tone Line sessions are processed and saved locally to provide the requested features. The practice features examined do not automatically send this data to JazzBricks. There is no JazzBricks account or JazzBricks synchronization between devices. No advertising or in-app audience measurement tool was identified in this version.

Sounds and fonts are bundled. The app does not request microphone, camera, location, contacts or photo access. An iOS/iPadOS backup or restore may nevertheless include app data according to your system settings; this is not JazzBricks synchronization.

Purchases and restoration with Apple

The full unlock is a one-time, non-consumable purchase with no subscription. Apple handles payment, the Apple account and restoration. StoreKit verifies access on the device; the interface receives the localized price, operation status and access authorization. No JazzBricks server receives purchase receipts, and JazzBricks does not ask for payment details. Restoring a purchase does not transfer charts or settings.

Chosen files and voluntary sharing

Import reads only the file you choose. Supported chords, structure and musical metadata are processed locally; MusicXML melodies and lyrics are not retained. A file from iCloud or another provider may be downloaded by that service at your request.

An export or voluntary feedback creates a local file, then opens iOS sharing. You choose the recipient. Feedback may include your text, the date, a technical version, the page and browser information. It is not automatically sent to JazzBricks. The temporary sharing copy is normally deleted after closing; an interruption may leave a cached copy. Files already shared remain with the recipients you chose.

TestFlight and Apple diagnostics

During TestFlight testing, Apple automatically shares usage and crash data with the developer, sometimes linked to your identity. Feedback submitted through TestFlight is also shared. We use this information to investigate issues and improve the app, not for advertising.

This testing regime differs from the public App Store, where diagnostic sharing with developers depends on Apple settings and services. Apple applies its own retention periods. Any diagnostic copies retained by JazzBricks are deleted once the issue is resolved and the case is closed.

Email support

If you write to contact@jazzbricks.com, we receive your address, any name, the content, attachments and technical message information. This is used to answer and resolve your request: contract performance for purchased use, or legitimate interests in providing support and fixing issues. Attachments are optional; only relevant information is needed. Do not send Apple passwords or banking details.

Retention and deletion

Exchanges are retained while the request is handled, then for one year after the last substantive exchange in a closed case. Deletion is manual; no automatic purge is promised. Only information needed for a legal obligation or dispute is kept separately for the justified period.

Manual deletion includes the mailbox and trash. Infomaniak advertises a 30-day Service Mail backup restoration window, so technical copies may temporarily remain after deletion. This backup is separate from the support retention rule above.

Practice data stays on the device for as long as you keep it. The tools let you remove charts and empty the trash. Uninstalling the app normally removes its active container, without deleting system backups or exported files. JazzBricks cannot remotely erase local data on your device.

Recipients and providers

Yvon Demol and authorized persons handle received requests. Infomaniak email is hosted in Switzerland; its processing agreement governs the service and technical providers. Apple handles purchases and its diagnostics under its own rules. You choose sharing recipients. Courses and the earlier beta do not automatically receive mobile app data.

Email is hosted in Switzerland. Apple services and recipients you choose may process data in other countries under their own terms. JazzBricks providers’ processing agreements are linked in the references; you may request information about safeguards at contact@jazzbricks.com.

Your rights and requests

For data held by JazzBricks, you may request access, correction, erasure or restriction and, where applicable, portability and objection to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to contact@jazzbricks.com. We normally respond within one month; any legally permitted extension will be explained. Proportionate identity verification is requested only when there is reasonable doubt. You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL.

Requests about Apple services should be addressed to Apple; we remain your contact for information Apple has shared with us. Local copies and exported files are managed on your devices and with the relevant recipients. No decision producing legal effects is made automatically from a JazzBricks user profile.
